Before anyone even thinks of asking, no, “Mergle” is not used in the context seen at Urban Dictionary. It’s a cross between The Matrix and a MERGed data set from other places (IMDB, Memory Alpha and Wikipedia (Wikipedia is only used as an independent verification source, not a primary or secondary source). The MERGLE is a project that’s been in the works for a few years (at least mentally, because we’re all mental, right?). It’s essentially IMDB, on steroids, but for sci-fi (and some non sci-fi, as I see correlations), presented in a totally geekified manner.

Think you saw that Star Trek or Star Wars actor/actress in another series you like? You’re probably right. Search for their name (real name or character name) and pull up their profile to find out (here’s a hint: approximately 30% of “Gargoyles” casting was also in Star Trek).

I’m constantly working on adding more movies/shows/series to our DB. Use that “Coming Soon” feature to sign up for email notifications when we launch a new series. I promise to keep those emails SUPER low-key. No sales stuff, no marketing, none of that useless garbage.
